My Gran On How I Met The Beau:
She says, “Jenny, the ladies at my church asked me how you met this young man, and I told them, “He stole her paper!” They don’t understand how you meet people online. I tried to tell them.”
LOL How hilarious! Basically, I told her that I *thought* he had stolen a blog post I wrote a long time ago for The FreshXpress. He didn’t really, clearly we got it all...
Some people say homosexuality is a sin. It’s not. God is perfectly cool with it,...

Love & Marriage*
As I get closer and closer to heading South for the Winter I realize I’m getting more and more sentimental. *Family* is at the forefront of my mind.
The internet is both a gift and a curse. People who are not experts, pawn themselves off as such, and impressionable people believe what they say, hook, line, and sinker. Even I have written opinion pieces that got so much “COSIGN”...
Love is...
…. getting some bad news, your significant other tries to cheer you up. He’s the manly man type so tears aren’t his thing. Instead he hits up a friend of yours to see if she’ll take you out so you can have a good time and forget about the craziness that’s got you down. That in itself stops the tears. :) I love him.

Legacy
I think it’s very important that we, particularly Black people, think of the kind of legacy that we will be leaving. If you don’t plan on having children, think of the legacy that you will leave your friends, remaining family, and perhaps the world at large. If you don’t care at all, well I suppose you can stop reading now. :)
I’m lucky in that my family has made it known...
Hey 20-Somethings
I notice there’s a lot of quarter-life crises out there. Don’t worry. It all works out. Just stay focused on your goals, because the other side of 25 is GLORIOUS. Enjoy each day, you only live once. Do the stuff you tell yourself “Nah, I can’t do that.” You can. Just do it.

P.S. Stop worrying about what people think. Be kind, but be blind when it comes to...
Passion
God I love Passionate people. People that have learned to enjoy life. Enjoy the smell of the air, the beauty of snow, the feeling of wind on their face, the taste of happiness. I love it. I love Passion. I love energy. Call me Type-A, but I call myself Type-Life. I don’t stress about the things I cannot control, but I am passionate about the things that I can.
Peace

@FoolProofDiva
You have such an amazing spirit. Seriously, when I talk to you/think of you I swear I can see/feel your smile all the way up here in this cold tundra! Your sweet baby Justice (my bestie) is a PRIME example of your awesomeness. Hey, just wanted to let ya know! :)
2010 Comes to an end
I can say that I started winning when I realized *not losing* was in my control. I’ve always been an optimistic person. A good 4 years ago I learned how the Blame Game leads to one’s own undoing, and I learned that for me, there is always silver lining in any situation and that by finding that, I’d find my way out of bad thoughts, bad feelings, and into the idea that things...
#BestFeeling. Waking up in the morning tangled up in the arms and legs of your lover. Then laughing when they snore in your ear. It’s the little things y’all. :)
Reblog if your mom is beautiful.
Outsourcing Life
Well I can finally have a life for the next three weeks as I just finished my first quarter of business school. WHEW! More on that in another post. I can’t say that equals increase presenced on the interwebs because I’m actually trying to live life OUTSIDE and away from the keyboard. I tell you, when you take a break you realize how suffocating this internet business can be.
I have...
